VideoBook

Cookie and Local Storage Policy

VideoBook currently uses only storage needed for security, account sessions, and limited on-device preferences. It does not currently set advertising cookies.

Effective date and version: 2026-08-15

1. Technologies currently used

  • The secure VideoBook session cookie keeps a signed-in user authenticated. A normal session lasts up to one day; choosing "Keep me signed in" can extend it up to 30 days.
  • Security infrastructure may use request information to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
  • The interface may store a language or display preference on the device. Story-poll votes and comments are stored on the server for signed-in users and are not kept as fallback browser records.

2. No advertising or optional analytics cookies

VideoBook does not currently set third-party advertising cookies or optional analytics cookies, so no optional-cookie banner is shown. If those technologies are introduced, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before they are activated where consent is required.

3. Your controls

You can block or delete cookies and local storage through browser settings. Blocking the authentication cookie prevents sign-in, purchases, and account features. Clearing local preferences does not delete server-side votes, comments, purchases, or account data.
